Maximum Oscar Size?!

Well, Today at the Small Family Run LFS i work at, Someone called and asked if we wanted a FREE 125gallon Fully equiped, wood stand and all, all he asked is it be set up as a display in the store, and his current fish get to live there,
so we said sure, and went to pick it up.. he has to oscars, One is a Tiger, and one is a Albino, and my god there HUGE, the tiger is 14 inches head to tail, and 3-4 inches THICK and the albino is 12 inches and 3 inches thick, I was in shock, when i heard oscars get big, i didn't think THAT big, theese fish were obviously well fed! There was also a Gold Severum the size of a dinner plate and nice and fat too!

What is the very max size an oscar can actualy get too!?:WHOA:

15-16" largest i've seen with pics/ rumors of 18"ish but nothing to back up that claim
 
I have had about 15 oscars throughout my my life. I had one get to 14 inches.
