Hi all,

I just wanted to show my collection (and addiction) of Poly's! Enjoy!
The biggest one I have is a Lapradei / PBB? Still not convinced, maybe an expert can identify? (the beast is 70cm long and thicc as a pvc pipe)
The Ornatus is around 50 cm

All are happily living together and in good harmony.
I am currently still looking for a Congicus or an Ansorgii, but that is very difficult in the Netherlands.

Very nice looking collection of upper and lower jaw Polypterus 😍
 
Looks like the same fish (was told it was 50cm) someone asked me to identify few months ago. Which is a Polypterus bichir (Lapradei) from Nigeria. Do you have a photo of the bichir next to a tape? I really doubt that fish is 70 cm.

I think 2-3 people asked me about this fish. Here is even older photo of it, maybe a year ago (or older. Not sure on timeline).

Ok, don't get me wrong Hao. I respect your knowledge of Bichirs and I respect your reputation on MFK. But what I do not accept is that you are ridiculing MY thread about MY fish on my own post. I've seen enough of your own "measure my Bichir with your own forearm posts'' on mfk. I measured the fish when I got it, and no, I have no ''evidence'' of that. And I will certainly not net the fish because you want ''proof'' of what I am suggesting on my threads. When you look at the pictures, and I'm stating that my Ornate is around 50 cm, I think you can take a guess about how big my Lap / PBB is. I wanted to ask you in a PB about my Poly, because I respect your knowledge and opinion, but now not so much. Thank you for the input about you thinkin it is a Lap. Kind regards.
 
and for the record, that picture you posted with the washed out Bichir, that is certainly not mine. the one in my care has a beautiful dark green swamp color and detailed markings.
