Mexican Standoff - Herichthys labridens and Herichthys bartoni 'Media Luna'

I did this piece up and had posters printed for the Dead Fish Order's January meeting when we hosted Rusty Wessel, featuring the two stunningly beautiful, and highly endangered species from Media Luna, Mexico. It's really unfortunate what happened at Media Luna and it's so important for aquarists to keep these two species plentiful and pure, and hopefully one day Media Luna can be restored back to what it once was.

Nice work Nick. I agree that the hobby could potentially save these sp. Unfortunately they are hard to come by in the hobby. Especially h. labridens. My only concern about the hobby is the increasing interest in hybridization among hobbyist. This can also wipe a pure sp. out for good too. But I am sure most who want these sp. will not do that.
