greetings, i strive for that crystal clear look in my tank but i can never seem to get it. the water isn’t cloudy but there seems to be some very tiny micro particles still present in the water at all times, any thoughts on this? i’ll try to capture a photo once i get home.

i run double fx6s for my 250g and double uv sterilizers for each. i’ve also got filter polishing pads in one of the fx6s as recommended but im not sure if there’s any better filter floss.

Is it particles or microbubbles? I had quite a few FX6 canisters causing microbubbles. Fluvals solution was new lids that don’t have the downtube that empties into the bottom of the filter. I ended up cutting the rest off manually. I finally ditched all of them and run sumps on every tank now.

I know I've got some bubbles for sure but I cant tell if the rest are also bubbles, ill take a picture once I get home.

if the lids the issues, please guide me on how to DIY to fix it or any videos that do so thanks.

unfortunately, I cannot run sumps as the risk is far too large and the consequences would be too much to cover for the slight upgrade.

This is one of the 3 lids they sent to me. It’s identical but no downtube. The remaining one I have I just took a hacksaw to remove the tube.

They sent 3 of them for free so depending on how long you've had them it's worth sending them a message as their customer service is pretty damn good.
I've used my old Fluval fx5 for 10+ years before I replaced it with a fx6 last year so hopefully they'll get back to me.

Are you running an actual UV sterilizer or Fluval's Clarifier's? I bought a couple of the Clarifiers to help with a stubborn bacterial bloom after a substrate change and they didn't do a hell of a lot so I swapped to my old ass AA Green Killing Machine and was gone in less than 24hrs.

i’m running the fluval FX series in line clarifiers, i also bought a really strong uv filter but i have no idea how to connect it to the fluval without it leaking since the attachments off
