I have heard that most eels species are too large for a 55 but a peacock eel is an exception this fish along with halfbeaks and butterfly fish are excellent editions to mini monster tank. Any suggestions for more mini monster madness will be happily accepted.

Exodon Paradoxus. I have a spare 55 gallon that I'm want to put about 30 of these little devils in as soon as we move and get set up.

I have actually been doing a substantial amount of research about these fish and I have come to love them for their aggressive feeding style, but i was wondering if you knew of any fish species that might survive there wrath? possibly loaches or eels? Something that wont be harassed or have scales damaged.

Armored cats will be a better tankmate. Like Hoplos or corys.

But I have a plan
the setting: a densely planted java fern and micro sword tank
the characters: feeder guppies, exodon parodoxus
scene one act 1: feeder guppies are introduced to new tank to start reproduction and begin cycling the tank
scene one act 2: they multiply to a satisfactory density
scene one act 3: exodon are introduced
scene one act 4: exodons prey upon population of feeder guppies
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
scene two act 1: the guppies begin to reproduce
scene two act 2: repeat scene one act 2 and 4

I keep my shoal with different kinds of silver dollars and a raphael catfish...no problems thus far. In fact,I'm looking for more exodons...anyone seen any nice sized ones for sale in LA ;)

I have 18 exodons in my 135 gallon tank with 4 Raphael cats and 3 Pimelodus blochii's. They bicker between themselves and leave the cats alone plus my cats don't come out till lights off.
