I've seen articles saying that both Angelfish and Goldfish are better kept mostly with their own species or bottom dwellers. However, I have a 200 gallon tank and I would very much like to have Angelfish, Fancy (Ryunkin maybe) Goldfish, and to keep my Black Ghost Knife Fish.
Looking at their individual temperature requirements, it looks like they all do well at 75 deg F. The only other fish I have is a large pleco (12") and a couple Gauramis.
Is a single (I understand they become more aggressive when paired) Angelfish going to be too aggressive with my goldfish and black ghost knife? With 200 gallons and only a handful of fish, it seems like there should be plenty of room for everybody.
Advice? Alternatively, what are good tankmates for angelfish or goldfish that are medium sized and colorful?
