Laila ali is no ronda

without her last name she wouldn't be known by anyone but some hardcore boxing fans in the states

she is not known for being Laila ali. she is known for being the daughter of an all time great

as far as star power, ronda has surpassed her

so what matters to me in the big picture is that they are drawing more eyes by hate, love or curiosity,.....then it will allow them to see the positive athletes as well in the process

You've got it right. Even cross over athletes who flame out are good for the business as it creates new fans of both. it's like a rapper doing a song with a country artist. Some people will be like GET THAT OUTTA HERE! It's not pure! Etc etc. meanwhile both artists are laughing straight to the bank as they gained new fans from the other genre

it's too bad chael sonnen didn't win any titles man.

and brock is responsible for a huge fan crossover to mma. i only hope that cm punk will be successful

and did you not hear the nelly and tim magraw collab. that track was sweet!
 
Why not Rocky?...it's not like it's never been done.Nelly did a song with some yokel but I doubt very many country fans get turned on to rap by crossover efforts.

I was a fan of RUN DMC back then but I never liked that song.
 
I've seen many diverse people bobbing their heads to that track though

i like it. but i'm a bigger fan of aerosmith than i am of run dmc. they were a bit before my time.
 
Nelly and TM both need to be beat.
Pushing for women in mma. For what? All us seem to be on the same page as far as agreeing RR, while a star, doesn't add anything to the mechanical side of the sport, and most agree she can't because she's a girl. All you have left is the novelty. Meanwhile, you encourage the anyone can do anything mentality, nope.
