Molly fry! help!

I was walking by my 20g community tank this evening and found molly fry! Hell I didn't even know she was pregnant. I took out all the other fish then relocated the fry into a zip lock container. I left the molly in the tank with the lights out for a few more hours in case she wasn't done yet ;)

5 hours later and no new fry so I think she must be done. I found 12 fry so far and put them in a container floating in the tank to try and keep somewhat of a constant temperature. Other then that I'm clueless.

How do I care for these things? Their so small. What do they eat and when? How often do I feed them?

Im totally unprepared for this. Please help.

i feed mine baby brine or i crush up the flakes...its cake, be prepare to have more!!!
 
give them crushed flakes or powdered pellets. These food are big enough for the fish. Remember not to overfeed!!
 
your lfs should have breeder nets.. its a "box" made out of fine mesh.. this way water still circulates through it.. good thing to have if you are breeding...
java moss and hornwort are also great for fry.. lots of hiding places and little microbes to snack on...
 
Newly hatched brine shrimp are good, but you could crush flakes for them too. Put a small bit in a plastic bag and crush the flakes until it looks like powder :D
 
Well I moved them into a spare net rather then the container. I hope they'll be getting better water flow this way. I powdered up some flakes and they ate them all in about 10 minuets.

Very cool caring for baby fish.

Welcome to the horror show.
I separated the male and female I have, after she pooped out a cloud of fry.
Then I sexed and separated the fry when they got big enough to do that.

SO that's 2 tanks. Just for these things.
on noez! The big momma started pooping out more today so I put her in her own tank.

Thats 3 tanks.
For mollies.

I dunno when she will finally stop having them, being with no males. I hope its soon.

I only wanted 2 #!@%& Mollies.
