Hello MFK,
I moved to central Florida from Fairfield CA and we had huge aquarium stores like exotic aquarium in Sacramento and Vallejo aquarium that would carry so many fish and out here I have been unable to find any store that can match. I am not sure if there is one in the area without driving over 2.5hrs but I am open to any recommendations if anyone has any information. Thanks

Despite having many fish farms in south Florida and the largest fish wholesaler Seagrest is in Tampa bay, there are no giant retail fish stores in Florida. The best fish are shipped up north from what I heard. I lived in West Palm Beach Florida in the 80s but was surprised the best fish stores and selection was not local but in the northeast where I now live.

I live in central florida. If you live closer to Tampa. Can try marine warehouse. They carry some stuff. I go there most of the time. Can the aquarium store in Brandon. If segrest has something you like then you can ask the Brandon store to bring it in. They’ve done it once for me before. Never tried it with marine warehouse.

I have to go further south in Florida for all those fish the bass up here won’t let anything survive that’s not suppose to be there 😂. I guess I will drive to Tampa and check them out. Maybe I should just open a huge fish warehouse😂 but maybe people don’t like fish in Florida.
