Right. It’s cool to see them with other cichlids and fish getting along. Minor chasing but nothing crazy. I make sure he’s well fed and he’s been a good brute so far.That sounds like a nice set up done45. It’s great when the big amphs can actually be kept in a community setting. Very cool fish!

Thanks! I measured him at the beginning of August when I moved him from tank to tank and he was 13.5" on the nose ..... When I compare pictures when he was in his previous tank to pics now he looks bigger so he could be 13.75 maybe pushing close to 14 now.....biggest midas species I ever had was 14.5..... Which would be of course behind a full grown chancho if they can get 16 plus...... Here's best of luck getting your guy to the maximum size.......I can see why he be confused. How big is your Midas?
