My spotted gar is loosing his front fins, and I don't know why!!

Its getting worse and worse every day. On one side it's almost completly gone.
Any one else had the same problem? Disease?
Will it grow back?
All the other fins are okay, so don't think it's his tankmates (Ornate, black Ghost and a marbled gooby)

That sounds really bad, maybe one of your tankmates is targetting on those particular fins alone? Because I know my Climbing Perch would give a fake bite at the tail of my Florida Gar which did create a little cut out of jealousy when feeding or when swimming near the Climbing Perch's place. If not that then it's just some disease? Have you done water changing since it started? Keep an eye on him. Keep us updated.

is it fin rot?

Is it just the pectoral fins? Are they frayed , or does it look whitish around the edges?
When I bought my gar, his pecs were all bit off and torn up from other fish in its tank.

The water chemistry seems okay: I changing 30% every week. The fin is alomost gone on one side. On the other side it's better. But its just almost like the bone left :(.

The Gooby, has been more and more aggresive lately, when the lights off. Can he be the sinner?. Just strange since it was only the front finns and nothing else that has been under attack.
Will they grow back?

Its the other tankmates I'm sure-my Florida has no right pectoral fin at all-git torn off completely. It doesn't affect it at all though-just sad it happened. I'd look closer at the tank if I were you to see whats happening-the Goby sounds the culprit.

I think the goby's the culprit too. Just take time to observe their interactions. I don't think the fins will grow back if they're constantly nipped.

What else is in the tank? And gobies are the type to nip small moving objects, AKA fins... Depending on what else is in the tank, I'm sure the goby is the culprit also, UNLESS if it's a "Dragon Goby"
