My new 2ft Alligator Gar (pics!)

Hey guys! well intresting story how i got him. a nice lady was trying to get rid of him becuase in her 180g Chomper the AG was attacking her TSN so she had to get rid of him asap. Got him for $20 he is 2ft he was in the tank for 2 yrs so i hope he's not stunted. i put him in my 12x12 with my florida gars last night but i havent seen him this mourning at all? i guess he still getting used to his new home? Well here's Chomper!!

thanks guys and my Floridas are a bigger actually mostly snout though. Am getting kind of worried though I haven't seen him at all. Am coming back home Monday I left 100feeders in the pond so I hope I see him when I do a wc when I get back.

Nice alligator gar!

As for the feeders, expect for them to be gone since these guys can really put down the food. My two 18" ones managed to reduce the population of goldfish in my goldfish pond from around 80 to just one in the span of a few days, so I would expect a similar result from a 2' one and some large Florida gars.

that fish is a beast! sounds like he has a good home now though. as for not seeing him, he may just be hiding, but make sure there isn't much space for it to jump out and not make it back into the water! good luck and keep us posted--

I do hope he eats alot of the feeders, I wanna grow this guy as big as I can! And E I did take that into consideration I made sure he can't no way hes jumping out even if he did I woulda saw him as around the entire pond is flat and grassy. I'll update you guys Monday with more pics when he will prob be out and about

Get ready to do a lot of fishing in order to feed it and not go broke; you should be able to catch a bunch of small bluegills for it to eat.

I was just going to do 100 feeders every 2days maybe even 200 as the Lfs called me up and said another guy needs to rid his 3ft AG and 3ft Florida gar. He has them in a small tank I feel I should take them in and do the right thing but i don't know... He doesn't want any money for them. Am pretty sure i can handle a few more monsters. I'd have to do tripple the feeders which i could do. So why not? Help out the fish if u can help it.
