I picked up two new Erythrinus species last week.

The first Erythrinus sp. Rio Tahuayo.

The second, at the moment I am not sure of the species, Possibly Erythrinus kessleri. Has a similar brown coloring to sp. Peru but a lot of yellow coloring to the fins

i envy your collection! So i was right with the lake Tahuayos.

They look nice! So if that is kessleri then you have owned all species and variants of Erythrinus!

Yes, I need to track down some kesslari identification details to confirm it. :)

Amazing, I really like the light colors on these guys.

Thanks, Looking forward to the Rio Tahuayo developing.

Thats a nice looking wolf, how big do they get?

We don't really know. I suspect similar to the other Erythrinus sp's so 8"-10"

i doubt they will get over a foot in captivity.
The tahuayo kind reminds me of an aimara in the erythrinus family because of a unique head shape and it's large eye to head ratio.
It's probably just me.

Thanks, i need to get some updated shots done. Yes agreed on the other ID thread.

I don't think they will get much past 8" both are a little over 2" at the moment hence the large eye head proportion, Will be interesting to see how they turn out.

Very cool. Ive seen these a few times. They were mixed in with large batches of red wolves. Will be cool to see them grow
