Hello everyone! I've had this bad boy for a year and just wanted to present him to the world, meet Mr. Popo!

Got him at 10", now measures about 17/18". Eats...... anything

Enjoy his silly face! (Note: I was doing a WC in one of the pics and decided to measure him, decided to use a box of Bubly cuz I couldn't find my tape measure ?).

One of my all-time favourites! I got a small one, maybe 5 - 6 inches, early this year; he's about 12+ inches now. Twice the length and probably 10x the mass! :)

And, like you, mine is my only impending monster fish. I've moved back to mostly small fish in recent years, but I've loved these guys every since owning one many years ago, back when I didn't even know what they were called. When I decided I needed just one monster fish, the choice was easy.

Nice colour on yours. Congrats on your excellent taste! :)

They really are interesting, he really has a monster appetite.

The color is a fantastic pattern but honestly the texture is what impresses me. Reminds me of ? skin

You should see if it likes to eat Jell-O cubes (after all it's a jelly catfish!) ???

O wow! I didn't think they get that big, most of the sites I've seen seem to say 20" is the max. Is it like a CB vs WC thing?

Fish like these are seldom kept long term so full sizes are rarely reported. Alot of information out there about aquarium fish is either out dated or just incorrect.

My original Jelly Cat achieved 24 inches by the end of the roughly 10-year time span I owned him. I maintained sporadic contact with his subsequent owners after I gave him up during a move. The fish finally perished at an age in excess of 30 years and a length of 28 inches. His demise came during a poorly executed transfer of the fish from one home to another; who knows how long he might have lived and how large he might have grown if not for this unfortunate accident?
