These picture aren't in order but I think you'll get the idea. This is my 3,500 gallon guapote pond. I presently have about 30 1 to 4 pound guapote's. The largers ones are developing beautiful fourescent blue fins. I just had the water tested and its at 124 coli particles. I read that under 150 is swimming quality. I suppose because the quapote are active fish they "run cleaner" than a fish like a koi. This whole project has inspired my next pond that should be aroun 25,000 gallons.

If anyone could help me get a hold of some peacock bass I would really appreciate it. They would be for the 25,000 gal. project.

My ultimate goal is to have a swimming pond with the guapote swimming next to me. I've got the water quality the way I want it with only 3,500 gallons and 30 guapotes. I should have better numbers at 25,000 gallons. I'm useing natural swimming pond designs with natural plants doing most of the filtering. I will have a couple UV light sterilizers a 5,000 gallon skimmers with a water fall for aeration. I hope that the filteration area will provide enough cover for the Guapote fry to stay alive longer than appetizer size.

Gorgeous Pond! And since you're in Costa Rica, no heater! Very nice!
