N.A Natives in the Uk

Hi all, I'm very new here. I've browsed for years but finally taken the plunge and signed up.

I was just wondering if anyone knew whether it is legal to keep N.A natives such as SM & LM bass, bluegill etc in the UK. And if it is, where would I go about finding them. Alternatively, what native UK species would be similar (perch?) Thanks.

This is 19 years old, but it's what came up. I would look for a more current list as for some reason I was expecting to see bluegill.

So it looks like I'd need a special license to keep these fish here. I totally understand why. Maybe I'll just get some big cichlids.
