Very nice looking lil FH ya got there. Personally I'm not a huge fan of short bodies in general but he makes it look good atleast. I'd say the only place he would really lose points, contest wise, is just the bald spot on his face there. Other then that he's got good shape, fins and pearling. That and it looks like his color and pearls stretch all the way across the kok.

Overall I'd say he's a fantastic looking male. Also if I had to give a contest grade I'd say he's a solid A+, definitely not your run-of-the-mil petshop FH.

Thanks for the compliment! When I bought him, I didn’t know he is short body but as he grow, it is quite evident haha trying my best to ensure that he get the quality food so that he can live longer

The fish looks more like a ZZ to me base on the body shape and pearl. Kamfa pearls are more shiny and the body is more boxy. For the fish to grow fast, you have to do water change frequently (once per week), larger tank (atleast 50 gallon) and feeding blood worm or shrimp.

The breeder could have used a female ZZ and Male Kamfa to breed. The fish seems to carry most of the ZZ traits over.

With the Flowerhorn genetics, It will grow fast regardless provided with proper tank size, temp, and pellet. Blood worm or shrimp could be a good treat food 1-2x a week maybe…but not required by any means and definitely not encouraged too frequently.
