first coat: DESTORYED

I'm using this stuff like its free. the first coat witch used about half gallon. so my plan was to use the full gallon of white and the rest of the half gallon of blue and call her quits. and save my other full gallon of blue for the ohf.

first mistake: put to thick of a first coat on. my first coat is as thick as a penny is its taking forever to dry.

second mistake: i was sure the bottom was dry and put a heater fan now i have holes in the epoxy.

so now im sure im going to use the extra gallon on the tank.

Epoxy cures with heat and the thicker it is the faster it dries. Don't worry about the flaws just sand the bad spots and recoat them sucks you have to buy more though. What I did to speed the cure was put a space heater in front of the tank and cover it all with plastic just make sure the plastic doesn't touch the heater

i have two space heaters in the tank.

i honestly could care less about the flaws since this tank is for me and now one else. but the reason this came abou is the glass will sit on a 2 by 4 and the edges were rounded off and i didnt bondo them. so i tried to fill it and it leaked all over the floor. just waiting for 12 hours for it to dries is a killer. my basement was colder then 75 for most of it.

i left he gallon and a half outside so maybe i can use it tomarrow if im lucky. sweet water please dont harden outside.
