Also Hopefully ill have the 3d modeling of my over head filter done. Right now im thinking 8 by 2 by 1. part of it (4 by 1) will be separted to hold convicts.

im sorry to admit but if i get a monster fish ill eventually want to see a live feeding. this way i have to places for convicts. a breeding pair or 2 in my 55 and the large enough not to be eaten by other convicts in the over head filter.
I like this idea and live feedings rock!

No, I did not get the chilli Red arowana, it looks as though they are about to be banned here in Australia. Mind you it looks as though a lot a great fish are about to be banned. If I do get it I won't admit it. It might just be a large Siamese Fighting Fish!

What are the demsions you are going to need for your viewing window for your fish tank I might be able to ask them about how much it would cost? Also it helps me try to understand how much buidling one of these monster tanks costs?

Follow-up on the Simkar lights you were asking about.....our electrician wasn't sure the lights would pass inspection mounted less than two feet from the top of our tank. I ordered five acrylic lens covers for the fish tank lights. Guess it would be bad if something shorted out because of water splash.

We still continue to be really impressed with this Simkar light. Took this picture standing on the stairs opposite my equipment room. It shows how well the one fixture mounted 14.5 feet up illuminates the whole area.

Of course, if you want a fixture with all the bells and whistles, here it is :) on the spendy side...
