Hi folks,

I've got my new 180 set up and running. Several members here helped me out a lot with the stocking. I started out with 15 Columbian tetras and a gold nugget pleco. Yesterday I added a severum, 5 geos, and an electric blue acara. I'm not done scaping the tank yet, and I'll be adding a black background to the wall behind the tank since I forgot to paint it.

So far they are all getting along famously. The only issue I've noticed is that the EBA seems to have a bit of a sunken belly. He's eating and acting normally, though.

Congrats on the 180 gallon I was like a child at Christmas when I got my 180 gallon home over 20 years ago.☺ You have done a great job choosing the SA stock.

Right now I'm feeding a mix of nls (flake, thera A, cichlid pellets, algaemax) and the occasional algae wafer. Anything else I should be mixing in from time to time?

Also, the EBA definitely has a sunken belly. It's not dramatic, but still noticeable. Should I give him some time to see if regular feedings improve it? Or should I look into something like hex shield?
