I just got a mature female Barred Midas from Ken Davis (traded a female RTM for her). She is the daughter of a female wild caught and one of Big Head's sons. I have her in a 135 gallon w/ a 10.5" F1 Arenal male from Cichlids of The Americas. She's apparently one aggressive fish - killed 8 of her siblings. But she is on the run now - I have NEVER seen my male so excited. Hopefully we will have wigglers soon and they will have a strong bond - taking their aggression out on all the Kribensis target fish instead of each other

No pics. I was told that Mack Reagan? up in TN had BigHead. Ken had a son of BigHead, and when BigHead passed, he gave the son back. This girl is the offspring of that son and a wild caught female. I seem to recall seeing pics of BigHead on this forum before, but am not seeing it in a search now.

Reagan left MFK shortly after Chris (cchhcc) was banned. Both were a major loss to this forum. I recall some pics of Big Head as well, might still be able to locate via search.

That's a shame - I'd love to have those guys back - do you know if they are on any other sites?

I have no idea. I haven't spoken with Chris in a couple of years, maybe longer. My guess is he got busy with real life. Not sure what happened to Reagan, most likely the same. I searched back looking for Big Head pics, couldn't find any.

Mack is fine, still getting amazing fish and breeding them, I get most of his fry, thus the Big Head line lives on, I have dozen grow outs now from the last spawn of Son of Big Head before he died

We have babies now. He won't let her help though - doing it all on his own, which may be why we got fungus. Looks like most eggs have been lost, but there are 20 or so wigglers. Maybe they will do better next time. He still lets her eat and only chases for effect, but not to kill - she has no damage. He darn near breaks the tank if you get near his babies - loves his babies.
