I recently acquired a 5 inch Juruense Catfish and it keeps on swimming against the glass of my fish tank. It doesn't look like it's gasping for air or anything it just swims head up, near the top, against the side of my tank. Is this normal?
Someone told me it is trying to swim against some current but i have a powerhead aiming directly at it. It's swimming up against the glass right next to the powerhead actually. Someone also told me that it is normal but I would like other people to give me feedback on this behavior.
I don't know if it has eaten yet. I just drop some frozen bloodworms at night before I go to sleep so I haven't seen him eat. All I've seen him do is swim up against the glass constantly. It has spent about 3 days doing this. My water is fine according to the test kit. I have 9 other fish in the tank that i've had for almost 4 years swimming in there and they all are normal. I partitioned 20 gallons for it in my 240gallon tank so my other fish won't eat it.
