Hi, I'm new to signing up to Monster Fish Keepers but I've seen many threads online when looking for advice on bichir and oscar care and behaviors...are here any groups or forums that I can join about bichirs and oscars..suggestions?
MFK is almost a bichir forum, there are so many bichir people here. Oscars are one of the most commonly kept fish, any forum will have people who know about them. I personally have never kept either, but soon someone who has will come along. BTW, as I understand, a bichir/O community tank would need to be something to the order of 200 gallons.

This has been discussed prior. Most would recommend any of the lower jaw species. As long as you have the tank space. 200g is a great size and can accommodate a good variety. Can be a little 50/50 with co-habing. Cihclids can be a little territorial. As long as the polys is big should be left alone.
There are a lot of poly keepers but plenty of other fish keepers. Post in the ancient section. A few of the members have cichlids and polys together.
