WTF? what are the stock numbers? If I order a L43298797534, what is going to show up at my door? get the picture? If you want to stay in business you have to think like your customer.
 
:screwy: errrrrrrr what? L number is a system of labeling plecs. they are a common name.... do your research before bashing someones business

He is thinking like a Pleco customer. Common names mean absolutely nothing since they vary from source to source and wholesaler to wholesaler. Todays pleco keeper needs to be or become familiar with the cataloging system in order to properly ID (and pay for) the exact species they're looking for.

You can find excellent references on the net (planetcatfish and most pleco dealers have excellent reference pics) and through books starting with the original german DATZ cataloging reference (recently translated to english) and the latest L guides and atlas'.
 
like the zebra pleco mentioned earlier is L46, and it isnt on the list. although i think one of the businesses here on MFK have them in, i think the price on them has gone up even more than the last time
