I would like to make a new world cichlids tank and I have an 80 gallon tank at the moment. Do you think I can fit an oscar, JD and a couple convicts in it? Thanks
Overfiltering is always good, (I overfilter all of my tanks by a lot), but at the end of the day an Oscar in an 80 is kind of pushing it already. You could get away with it IMO keeping him (mostly) alone, but once you add other tankmates who can reach 10-12" (JD) it becomes a bit excessive.I would any amount of overfiltering change it?
That molly is a BEAST I never see anything that big LOL well, I'm not even think a molly can grow that big in the wildWhen they are youngsters you could grow them for a while in an 80. But an 80 is too small for an adult oscar alone. Maybe as adults, the pair of convicts, and the JD.
but here is a video of how and where JDs live in nature, when you think about it, an 80 is a puddle compared to their "normal".
