I’m feeding my young Red Devils NLS cichlid pellets right now and they are eating them. I’m about ready to get more food and was debating on getting Omega One instead. I noticed Omega One has a slightly higher protein (37% vs 42%). But Omega One also has a slightly higher fat (11% vs 8%). Any recommendations??

Another option that i have noticed is Northfin. Looks like it has similar ingredient and it has 40% protein and 5% fat. The latter caught my eye, you don’t see that low of fat very often I feel.

Yes, I would feed those. I would also recommend bug bites and ken's and ocean nutrition.

Either of those foods will be fine. NLS uses slightly more premium ingredients and doesn't contain ethyoxyquin, a somewhat controversial synthetic antioxidant that most of the other brands do use.
Personally I do think NLS is best but have used Omega one for years as well as Hikari, and various other brands I have tried here and there. Always come back to NLS though, the fish like it and there are options like Hex shield to deter hexamita and hlle from sensitive cichlids.

interesting
can fish be fed hamburger?
If you want to feed fresh meat get frozen seafood. There is a meddly pack of clams, mussels, said, and cuttle fish that is cheap. Pieces are reasonable size.

I'd stick with the NLS if your fish are eating it. Like said, they've always had an impressive ingredients list and that's what matters most IMO. Omega one tends to have great ingredients as well.

I've never been able to get my fish to eat NLS. They spit it out like trying to get your kids to eat veggies they don't like. Always wound up shrimp and snail food for me.
