Non drying silicone...

I attempted to silicone in an acrylic baffle into a glass tank for sump creation and over a month out the silicone is still not dry. Typical clear ge silicone 1. Any thoughts on why it didn’t dry?

Bad batch. Did you try the tube anywhere else ? Is the whole thing like that or just what was applied to the tank?

I haven’t tried it elsewhere. Frustrating. given that it isn’t drying, I guess I have to try to scratch it all off so it doesn’t leach into the tank?

Have you heard of this before?

Expiry date?

If you think it’s the batch there are batch numbers on the tube you can pick up another tube somewhere or make sure it’s from a different batch if you buy from the same place.
Usually if it’s past date it will start to harden in the tube.
