northern pike

i was wondering what you could feed a northern pike besides minnows.

They will mostly eat live foods, and it depends on what size they are. A friend of mine has 2 redfin pickeral that he got to eat flakes, but theres no way you could sustain a northern on flakes lol

I have my grass pickerel on pellets and shrimp. Difficult to do but it is well worth it. Especially after I had a bad outbreak in my feeder tank.

Northan Pike ( Or PIKE to us UK boy's ) Esox Lucius,

These fish eat any live bait, are even rumoured to snach small ducklings which lag behind, they eat frog's, newts and rodents anything which finds its way into the Pike's domain....

when i fish for these AWSOME predators the baits i use which land these bad boys are , Sprats, Mackeral, Herring, Roach, Skimmer Bream, Eel, Lamperys and Smelt, all work wonders !! so try you pike on one or more of these baits.

i think they will go for live food
