*Opinion* Best Cichlid for Parental Behavior.

I will have to disagree lol. the one time i tired My female ate the spawn and the male almost killed her because of it
I was just thinking of the breeding dress, but on that note I suddenly remember:
Astatheros macracanthus
Cribroheros bussingi
Tomocichla tuba (I think these would probably be the most interesting)
Parachromis friedrichsthalii (ex loisellei)
Vieja breidohri
Vieja fenestrata
I'm not going to recommend any herichthys because the carpintis types stop going into breeding dress at a certain size tmk and then Nosferatu sp will maul eachother.
All big cichlids pretty much have the same spawning behavior, lay eggs on a flat thing and then raise a cloud of 2000 fry. Vieja and Herichthys do the bulldozing behavior to feed fry though.
If you give any of them sticks you'll get to watch them push stuff around.
