My oscar fish is around 12 /14 months . Not sure what sex it is . But its gaurding a tube on the sponge filter like crazy . It looks like tiny little balls on it and allot of them . But they are all green like algae. The bigger oscar i had died about a month ago . He jumped out in the middle of night . I replaced it with a smaller oscar . The big one now is protecting that pipe like crazy . Do i need to remove and clean off that pipe . Its got air bubbles going thru it so dont know if they are really eggs or not any advice will help thank you

Welcome aboard
Can you post a pic?

My fish is super aggressive attacking the net when i get close by it. Never did that before always freaked out when you put the net in there. Would sink to the bottom. Now it’s attacking to protect that spot

It's hard to tell if those are eggs but possible for a lone female Cichlid to lay eggs but the eggs will not be fertile.

Also like to add even though eggs would be infertile the female will still protect them until they eventually go bad or she eats them.

Judging behavior of your Oscar it appears to have laid eggs. My pair are super aggressive when they have eggs and fry. I would not worry about it unless other fish are being attacked.
