Hello all, I have just gotten an oscar about two days ago. I have read that they can become pretty depressed when moved to a new tank let alone the two hour journey he had to take in a cooler from where I got him to my house. The last two days that I've had him he's been sulky but still swimming around constantly. I tried feeding him yesterday and he seemed pretty uninterested. This morning I didn't bother knowing that he probably wouldn't eat until later today or tomorrow. What I did notice though was his poop was not what it had been yesterday. This time there was brown parts but also some white parts in it. I have read that white stringy poop can indicate an internal parasite so I put some vitamins in his tank along with some Zole antibiotics. Is it possible that this is just caused by the move or should i be concerned?

Likely from stress and not eating. Would wait it out and provide some good clean water. Also start some food and reassess.
