:p
I read that roaches have a bigger gut to load, so can be healthier than crickets.
Do oscars get excited about them?

are homegrown feeder fish better than insects?

I'm comparing the health of treats.
True, they're not needed, but my O is acting like a whole different fish this week bcuz of crickets.
IT'S FUN!

Dubia have a reputation because of their smaller urban-blighting cousins. However, they're preferable over crickets due to being a cleaner live food to raise. They don't reek like a cricket culture. And, they don't raise a racket in the house like chirping crickets. Compared to live fish feeders, ...they're more prolific thereby, ...also a more renewable food source. They also require a smaller vessel to be raised in large numbers than fish feeders and require less utilities to raise them than feeder fish in aquariums.
