Paroon X RTC are short bodies the grow slow compared to Paroon or RTC. I have one over 2 years old and only 14 inches. Biggest I have seen them get is 2-2.5 feet. As they get bigger they develop the hump on their back because they are short body. The black ear x RTC I believe will grow huge they are not short body. I am growing out 2 of each. I like both equally paroon x etc better suited for smaller tanks and if you like the look of short bodies even better. It is rumored that the hybrid isn’t viable and most don’t live long/ passing 2 feet. What I can say is mine doesn’t always have an appetite. Eats maybe once every 3 days and is very sensitive to parameter changes such as adding salt. Once I added my phantom in the same tank with him his competitive nature must have kicked in now he eats every day. If he eats pellets the day before a waterchange even if it’s been 24 hours he will throw them up so I skip a full day of feeding twice a week the day before I do a water change.

black ear x RTC has no such hump grows 3-5x. Faster and will get much bigger since it’s not a short body.
