i have the chance of a group of 8 of these guys.

just looking for some info from anyone keeping them really.
are they worth getting as a mid water shoeling fish for an asian aro and ray tank?
will they get on ok with my campbelli and a flagtail?
thanks guys.

ps,
oh yer ST`s back! lol only been about 3 years out of the hobby.

Keep them the same as any other glassfish, just on a much larger scale. I have seen huge schools of these in the Gregory River on the Queensland/Northern Territory border. Water is very hard and high pH as it flows from limestone. Not params that will work with your aro or rays. If they are doing fine without the hard water/high pH I'd grab them, they won't cause any drama in the tank. As far as food, they will take the same foods as your aro. Shrimp, pellets etc. Although they are native here in Australia they are largely overlooked by most aquarists. Definitely get all 8, they prefer a good school and when the fins colour up and are solid yellow/orange they are stunning. Hope that helps.

spot on cheers, lol i want all 8 i was just checking as there so expencive!
they are in a ph of 7 at the moment and doing fine at my lfs and i think the WS had them at the same, which is good really as they will be liveing with an asian aro which will need a ph of around 7. ill also be keeping a group of rhamphochromis woodi, campbelli tiger and a group of asian freshwater soles.
