There are small, thin white worms inside my Cray and covering the sides of my tank! They are in its mouth, joints, and I can see them in its skull, and are causing it obvious discomfort (scratching its carapace, fidgeting, etc). Of the research I've done, one said that these are nematodes, and harmless, and another said that mild salt baths would get rid of them, but I'm really nervous, especially since I keep a RES in the same tank and I'm worried about what the effect on the turtle would be. Help!

I think they are silverfish I get them also im not sure how they started coming into the tank but i get this also.I dont know if they harm the crays i keep or the turtle i keep also but so far they are ok..i do a big water change and add water prime i dont see them for weeks and they come back im not sure...

Their most likely some sort of leaches, ive delt with them before whenever i get farm raised crays.
I use just one 15 minute salt bath and they all fall off within minutes!
I was nervious during the first salt bath but ive had crays that ive forgotten in the saltwater for hours that survived perfectly so its safe for the crayfish and takes care of the worms.
I suggest giving the crayfish a 15 minute saltbath in a small container then nuking the tank.

They also could be planaria which are harmless to most fish etc, but can kill dwarf shrimp. What does the head look like?

I don't have a link to it, but I found an article saying that the little white worm things are normal for crayfish to get and do not cause any harm.

Goodeid, what kind of salt and how much per gallon of water?
