Peacock bass health help

IMG_0578.JPG Lately I have noticed my peacock bass having a few scrape looking injuries on his head. My water parameters are almost perfect. What I think it is is just him accidentally hitting the bonsai tree I have in there. I just wanted to get a few different opinions on what it could be. Is there anything I should do to treat it? If it's from the bonsia tree should I remove it? Here is a picture.
 
They move and spook very fast. So other then consentan water changes which you said you do I do the any other reason.

What do you feed?

Remove the tree and plant some real plants and see it if improves. Something that cant damaged him.
 
I feed frozen bloodworms because he refuses to eat pellets. I have tried many ways and many things to get him on pellets. I have real plants already and the bonsia tree is real too. Are the scrapes something I should be cautious and worried about? Could it be hole in the head? That is my main concern. I have had him for a few months and he has not shown any signs.
 
Looking at the pics kind of look like hith. Would keep the water clean and try a pellet of some kind. Dab the areas with some methylene blue on a qtip. Really keep an eye on those spots in question.
 
How do I dab the spots with that? How would I get him to stay still? Also, pellets are a real struggle with him. How do I get him on pellets

No. Can also perform it is a dip. Then it’ll be easier. Just make sure u use clean water and temp is similar to ur tank.
