Pentair Repair - 720 Gallon

I purchased a Pentair 720 gallon tank for my imports and a 270. The 720 seems it was dragged on the ground. When putting into storage I noticed I can see through one of the corners, its not cracked and no holes but I can see through it, makes me nervous. I contacted Pentair about this but they don't have a kit to repair. What would be the best way to fix this as I don't want 720 gallons of water on the basement floor.

The colour of the underside is white, all the blue has gone. It's been dragged from pillar to post, and back again, several times by the looks. That corner has worn through but much more serious than that is it's likely to have worn in other areas too. Mend that corner and in time another area could go, and if it's full of water at the time then you have a big problem.

I'm struggling to understand why you haven't told them to replace it with another one, preferably one that they haven't abused. For them to simply tell you that they don't have a kit to repair it is totally and utter mens dangle bits, shocking customer service.

If the worse comes to the worst and you have no option other than to repair it yourself then for god sake make sure you reinforce the whole bottom of it.

It's a shame, it's a great sized tank, better in black though

west systems epoxy and fresh fiberglass cloth. sand the area out bigger than the damage spot and apply a few good layers. I repair boats this way and find the epoxy much tougher than resin. youtube has good videos on how to repair or strengthen fiberglass.

this would be my first course of action. maybe tell them you are posting what happens on mfk and other social media???? might motivate them.

I was thinking the same thing. Re lay some fiberglass resin and mesh on that spot
