Pest Control Using Air Guns

this is not a thread about guns, or even about the killing of the animals itself. it's about using this method of pest control.

don't watch the videos if this sort of thing offends you. it can be kind of gruesome

anyways, I randomly came across one of these videos and ended up spending hours watching all kinds of these videos of various pests (rodents and birds) being taken out with air guns. I can watch these all day

I don't get it. This isn't a thread about guns or killin animals.

lol, well, I intended to focus more on the method used, versus the killing itself

I think it's a more effective method than poison or traps or something like that. I like that the people doing the shooting only takes a shot if they know it will be a kill shot. they pretty much only take clean head/neck/spine shots

We used to hit the rats with pellet g*ns at my old place all day. We tried rat traps, but the crows kept getting caught instead. The rats collected all the dead too, which made for easy cleanup.

I had to go under the piers at SD to shoot rats with a CO2 pellet gun. Then, had to tag and bag the rats for disease investigations at the EPMU (Environmental Preventive Medicine Unit) where they kept track of anything that may have been introduced to the area.

Reminds me of back when we were kids and we got some bb rifles.We would go down to the old piers on the riverfront and shoot up the warf rats.
