Hello all,
For the past year I have kept my monsters, RTC and gator gar, with pH of 7.0. I recently just got a whole house filter & water softener installed to rid the need for using dechlorinator and the many other benefits. However, after testing the pH of my new filtered water, I am getting a pH of 8.5.
I've never really had the need to adjust pH before, but I'm not really inclined to using items such as pH down or neutral regulator.
I'm curious to see if anyone has dealt with this similar issue and has any solutions/recommendations.
Thank you in advance!

Is that straight out of the filtered water tap pH or did you let it sit for 24 hours to de-gas and then take pH reading?
