tanks still not touching styro in the middle. :irked:
going to let it set for a day or 2 like this.
will the water change water still be "good" after sitting?
figured it would help cycle.

update
always ups and downs for me.lol :irked:
filled the tank,no leaks :headbang2
filled the filter
cranked up the pump
thing sounds like it was made in 1807 :grinno:
humming grinding squealing
unplug it,plug it in,all it did was humm
waited a few minutes,tried again
cranked up,hummin, grindin, squealin till it went to just a humm.lol
pumps done :irked:
so when i get a new pump im thinking submersible cus its quiet.
but then all the plumbing i just did is useless. :irked:
cus if i use a submersible i will use flex hose and i will have to re run it all.
plus the pvc 90 in the tank is to low so i have to modify it to be up higher.
it starts a syphon when the pump turns off.
the water line when running is so high its scary. :nilly:
in the pics the pump is off. "not the pump in the pic"lol
but it has water in it!!lol

I'm really diggin' that old school panel/tank on the side of the tank. I think that would be better if it was attached to the back portion of the tank, that way you don't lose that side for viewing. Need to hit up your grandpa for some old school tricks of the trade, man this set up is nice, keep us posted with lots of pictures. "Subscribing"

thanks for the reply :)

update
so i cut out all that nice plumbing :irked:
swapped to submersibles
only had a 500gph here so i hooked it up till i get a new one.
looks like im going to get a quiet one 4000, 1017gph,i think.
kept the same return just cut and added a nipple end.
made it so i can swap to one inch hose when i swap pumps.

also took a half inch off the 90 elbow inside tank and it stopped the back flow :)

also couldnt wait for the real bio ball box so i made this one :screwy:
