Are pinky mice good food for fish? I have a 5'' 'AA' Grade Male ZZ/RD FH with a big mouth:naughty: I will not be feeding pinkies regularly, it is only for a treat after I have a huge redecoration of the tank:popcorn:

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you, Al

No fish are not able or meant to digesst warm blooded mammals. It would be a mess and bad for your fishes digestion.

ditto to what Cam said.

i would not but in the wild if a mice wants to take a swim a CA/SA cichlid would prolly eat it.

Not a good idea, pleanty of other foods available that would be a better than mice.

I would not, the only cichlid I would ever feed a pinkie to would be Oscars.
They eat from the surface in the jungle, so they are more likley to eat small warm blooded animals, meaning i think it is reasonable to assume they can digest mouse bones. Bottom feeders would never be able to.

I fed an oscar pinkies at the store where I worked and she loved them.
