Could anyone please ID my Piranha? I was told by the seller it is a Rhombeus (Black Piranha) collected from Peru.

Some are saying it is Compressus and some are saying it's Rhombeus.

Size of my fish: 10 cms from snout. Without tail fin.

Please let me know.

The detail of middle pic its show the elongated dotted thats why some people say it compressus but i have seen in other photo that peruvian rhombeus have elongated dotted heres a rhombeus
in picture it say compressus but frank magallanes confirm that is rhombeus not compressus is on a big jaw and red eye i guess and this is compressus with elongated dotted too but is larger elongated dot

Thanks a ton. I talked to Frank Magallenes over Facebook and he said he would go more with a Rhombeus than with a Compressus. It is so because my fish is small and it has characteristics of both. Let's see how it goes and grows.

Thanks again, mate..
