Does anyone know if Piranhas could be obtained in Australia?

Its probably illegal but I know they still show up. Like say Arowanas.. they still show up here and there?!

Asian aro's are illegal imports yes, but they aren't listed as noxious fish so wont land you in deep ish if you get caught with them, unlike P's. Hence why you will see aro's listed for sale but no piranha.

I am not sure about the legallity of Ps in your neck of the woods so unless you can a real anwser from one of us I would call whoever is over fish and game and just ask to be sure.

^^^Real answer^^^ . But here it is again. Piranha are a federally noxious species in Australia. Illegal to import, own, sell etc. Here is what you're looking at if you're caught.
Swipe from DPI website: "Fines of up to $150 000 can be imposed on anyone having noxious fish in their possession..."
