Platinum Jack Dempseys

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Some of the spawns won’t make it due to inexperienced parents. It will help them figure out the routine however. Others will be heavily culled.

Some blues and platinums will be sold and I plan to grow some selected blues and platinums to adults.
i really like the work youre doing with dempseys, keep us updated

I would say that the more important factors are to keep up on your water changes to maintain the highest quality of water you can and to watch their diet. Do not over feed. It seems that they have sensitive digestive systems. Stick with a high quality flake and pellet and don’t go switching things up all the time. I like foods with a good amount of spirulina. It is an easily digestible plant based protein and is a natural color enhancer for greens and blues. The only “treats” mine get are frozen brine shrimp at the most twice a week. I believe the little crustaceans are high in roughage and pass through the digestive system well.

What brand pellet are you feeding? Ive tried to get my jd on several veggie based pellets but hes is quite picky. Seems to only go for high protein pellets.
