On a boat!
Hey guys and gals,
My FH is sick and is need of some help. He's normally in a 300 gallon with a lot of large tankmates. They get into scuffles every so often, but nothing too bad usually....
Anyway, yesterday I noticed my FH color was quite pale and his right eye was swollen and white where it's normally clear. I've transported him to his own 60 gallon to recover, added Clout and salt. 24 hrs later his eye looks worse (pics attached). I did 25% water change and added another dose of Clout (as directed by Clout instructions). I did not add anymore aquarium salt after the water change. I am I doing everything right? Are there any other treatments that you can recommend.

Thanks so much in advance!
Regards,
Peter

I read that the bulging eye is due to gases being release by bacteria behind eye that is pushing the eye out or bulging. Any truth to this? Will Clout work here???

BIG ONE is right but what probably caused it was fighting usually if it was bacteria it would be infecting both eyes most of the time i believe.

If it is injury some water changes and epsom salt should help.

If its bacteria infection add some medicine with water changes and epsom salt.

Yes, after reading that article is def looks like popeye. I've added mag sulf salt to the water and I'm hoping the swelling will subside. He's actually going after food now, but don't think he can see out of his pop eye. I will do another water change tonight followed by Clout treatment and epsom salts.

Thanks so much MFKers!!!

Peter
