This catfish is being sold as Brachyplatystoma fila but I have a lot of doubt about that id. These don't even look like capa. The fish in question 2.5 so they are very small. Definitely look Brachyplatystoma but unsure of exact species. But I've never seen any Brachyplatystoma available this small either so I also keep this in mind just looks off for fila. Please let me know your thoughts

From my experience, $150 is generally too much for a capa, especially for such a small fish, but it is not yet ridiculous, especially if with shipping and DOA guarantee included, then it could be swallowed, I guess.

Yes it is a little much. Had chance last year to get 4-5in capa for 60 locally. I'm gonna let these go as well. Just don't see how they are confusing these with fila. Doesn't even look close a lot of features off.

99.99% of the time vendors have no time, neither motivation or knowledge to chase exact ID. They simply take the exporter's IDs and names. Even reputable vendors, not to speak of less scrupulous ones.
