I recently bought this bichir. The shop owner wasnt really helpful.Could someone with experience please tell me what type this is. And will it get bigger because im scared it might be shortbodied. And any suggestion for the size of aquarium once it gets to adulthood. Im currently using a really small plastic aquarium.

Thank you in advance.
Sorry for the bad photos.

Its a albino senegalus. They tend to stay smaller than their regular counterpart. I had one that maxed out at 7" but it can vary. I would want minimum of a 20L but would rather see it in a 40B or 55 gallon.
Thanks alot. And do you reccomend any types of living plants to put in with the bichir?

If you are just going to have just the Albino poly in the aquarium you can tie Java fern to wood. I agree with what others stated larger polypterus will uproot plants due to the bulk of their body. Btw some Polys will bury their heads in the substrate also .
