So I''ve had a standard bristlenose which has been doing well and growing very well. Monday I came across a chance to snap up some Starlight Bristlenoses and introduced 2 of these into the tank.

It has mopani, bogwood, moss balls and live plants for cover but read need to introduce caves to make comfortable and also rare chance of breeding?

If 3 bristlenoses in the tank (and I might be tempted to snap one more) how many caves do I need? What type of caves best for them? Stacked or singles?

@thefredpit - the starlights probably too young to tell, will try and snap some shots to see if anyone can assist. They are a little shy currently.

The standard bristlenose - possibly a female. Will get some pics!

I will have to bide my time with the ones in the tank - hindsight is a wonderful thing and kicking myself for not taking pics before they went in.

Happened across some more and brought these two today along with some caves which hopefully will suit:

I would make sure they each have their own caves with another extra in case they’re picky. I like 6 caves and only 4 plecos” the rust got killed off” and even then 3 are super picky and I have empty caves sitting around

Not sure how many caves you need, but I don't think you can have too many.
