I just added a plec a couple weeks ago in my Oscar tank. There is only ONE. I have these black round spheres on the bottom, I can't explain it any other way. The fish was a trade in at the store, so maybe it was gravid at the time it was traded in?

looks like mini rabbit crap

I've never seen pleco eggs so I can't help you. I would have not thought they would be black though.

That's it! There is a rabbit in my tank!

Those don't look like any fish eggs I have ever seen, look more like amphibian eggs. What kind of plecostomus is it? Anything else in the tank? Supposedly most plecos are difficult to breed in captivity save for ancistrus and their eggs look like this...

I agree, they do look like amphibian eggs. I have no amphibians.

Sandtiger: looks like green eggs ... waht pleco laid those eggs? how big are the eggs and plecos?

Anybody have any idea what those black specs might be?

Just figured it out. Not eggs. They were some beads at the bottom of my glass thermometer. The bastard oscar smashed it. LOL
