'Pointed Genital Papilla'

Alright, so I see this description a lot when reading about cichlids on the net.

My question is, what EXACTLY is a 'pointed genital papilla'? What does it actually look like? Anyone got a picture of a male and female of a species which shows exactly what the difference is when one has a pointed papilla and the other one doesn't?

Because all I've seen is 'blah blah male has a pointed papilla blah blah', which really isn't helpful at all. :/

Pointed means male, female egg tube is blunt.both sexes don't show it all the time.temperature, age, stress, water conditions affect them.females sometimes lay eggs with no male in the tank

Tubes are much thicker because they are actively breeding, but you get the idea.

Here's some old shots of my male midas, he always flaunts his junk. This is non-breeding and just how he's always been.
